EURORTEFF – short & sweet
We are expecting over 550 young singers from all over Europe and beyond in Wolfenbüttel from 3 to 7 September. Here, children and young people from different countries will come together to make music. In addition to the concerts, in which songs will be performed in different languages and styles, the participants will rehearse a repertoire in ‘ateliers’ – intensive rehearsals together with other choirs and renowned conductors – and perform it at the big final concert. The choirs and their accompanying persons will spend the night in school halls, host families and in youth hostels. Food will be provided three times a day for all participants in the catering tent. During the EUROTREFF, Wolfenbüttel becomes a city full of young, singing people from all over the world.
Tasks for volunteers
The EUROTREFF should be fun for all of us and leave a positive and lasting impression, regardless of whether we are singers or helpers. That’s why we want to network with you at an early stage and facilitate good team planning. All these tasks are waiting for us:
- Assistance in the festival office
- Welcoming the choirs on arrival (checking in, handing out sheet music, accompanying them to their accommodation)
- Being the contact person for questions from the choirs (link between choir and festival office)
- Accompanying the groups to the studio rehearsals, concerts and meals
- Support in finding the way to the festival venues in Wolfenbüttel (concerts, rehearsal venues, etc.)
- Clarification of questions that arise and support with problems
- Help during meal times
- Support in keeping the festival locations clean (gyms, catering tent, studio rooms, etc.)
- Making preparations in the studio rooms (set-up/dismantling)
- If applicable, as part of the driving team: transporting equipment and team members by car.
- Support in the coordination of bus transport for participants by the local bus company
Perhaps you are particularly keen on certain tasks. In the preliminary meetings we try to find suitable tasks for everyone and organise the volunteers’ schedule in such a way that everyone is satisfied and nobody gets bored.
Arrival of the volunteers
We need four to five people to arrive on Monday, 1 September 2025 to help set up the festival office. We need all other volunteers in Wolfenbüttel from Tuesday morning.
Accommodation and catering
Accommodation and meals for the volunteers will be provided (accommodation in single or double rooms), in addition there will be a reimbursement of travel costs for your journey (Deutsche Bahn 2nd class – please use savings offers!).
Fee
Monday 1.9. to Sunday 7.9. (7 days, incl. arrival/departure day): € 700.00
Tuesday 2 Sept. to Monday 8 Sept. (7 days, incl. arrival/departure day): € 700.00
Tuesday 2 September to Sunday 7 September (6 days, incl. arrival/departure day): € 600.00
What will you take with you as a volunteer at EUROTREFF 2025?
Hopefully a very special, unforgettable experience full of music and festival atmosphere. YOU will have the opportunity to meet many interesting people from different countries, practise your English in exciting conversations and experience different singing cultures and lifestyles. In return for your help, we hope to give you a little insight into the festival organisation. As a team of helpers, we want to get to know each other in advance, learn from you and your ideas and also reflect on EUROTREFF together afterwards – your opinion is important to us. We would like to draw up a helpers’ schedule that allows enough time to have breaks and enjoy the music. And then there’s the fee… 😉
