SAVE THE DATE

21th EUROTREFF: 03.-07.09.2025

The EUROTREFF is an international children’s and youth choir festival, which has been held every two years in Wolfenbüttel since 1989.

Children’s and youth choirs from all over the world come together for four days to sing together and get to know their cultural and individual similarities and differences. In workshops, the choirs work on a repertoire of pieces with a specific festival theme under the guidance of renowned international choirmasters. The results of the workshops are presented to a large audience at the final concert. The choirs also present pieces from their home countries in encounter concerts.

TOGETHER! – Guiding theme of the EUROTREFF 2025

Together! This encompasses many aspects of music-making and choral music in general, but it also takes account of social developments and aims to set an example of cohesion, community and solidarity in the best sense of the word and make a contribution to mindful and respectful coexistence in the international community. Networking with the Wolfenbüttel region and the state of Lower Saxony is an important aspect of this. This creates opportunities for encounters in social institutions, in host families, in churches and on the streets.

One festival – three goals.

1. to provide new musical impulses for young choirs
2. encounters between cultures, encounters on site in Wolfenbüttel and encounters with themselves as young musicians
3. participatory development of an umbrella organisation protection concept for the AMJ

Preparations are ongoing.

Children’s and youth choirs can apply to take part in EUROTREFF 2025 until 30 November 2024. This is very easy via the link on this website. The exact programme of the EUROTREFF with concert announcements and participation opportunities for interested listeners will follow in the coming months.
